Inspiring Ireland, Inspiring Students - Interview with Samantha Power Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) (P/PP) 12.10.
ESCI and Dr. Fidelma Healy Eames, Study and Careers, is delighted to announce that the next ‘Inspiring Ireland Inspiring Students’ interview, in collaboration with ESCI, will be with Samantha Power Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) on Tuesday, February 1st @ 10am
What drives an Irish girl with Dublin and Kerry roots, born and raised in Ireland to the age of 9, to be a foreign policy and human rights’ advisor to former US President Barack Obama and become the US Ambassador to the UN? Such is the amazing story of Administrator Samantha Power now serving in the Biden administration! But that is only part of her story. Samantha is mother to two young children Declan (13) and Rian (9), a Harvard professor, a Pulitzer-winning author and at her core is a human rights’ activist. Inspiring indeed!
