A Buzz in the Classroom 31.1.2022
An introduction to beekeeping and the native Irish honey bee.
We will look at occupants of the hive and their various jobs. We will look at forage and how we, as beekeepers, can help our honey bees. We will also look at products from the hive – honey, wax, candles and balms. Talk geared to teachers who want to introduce honey bees to the classroom as part of a biodiversity programme. PowerPoint suitable for all ages but would be of particular interest to senior classes in primary school. Some bee related handouts available for different levels.
