Down syndrome - Behaviour and Social Skills Webinar for Primary Teachers and SNAs 30.11.2021

A webinar for Primary School teachers and SNA's focusing on the student with Down syndrome - behaviours that may challenge and social skill development. 

We will look at why the student may present with behaviours and an overview of supports and strategies that can be implemented to support the student. Interlinked with this will be discussion about social skill development.

Facilitator Andrea Hynes. I have been teaching in Special Education for over 20 years in both mainstream and special school settings. I have also worked with the SESS (Special Education Support Service) and the NCSE (National Council for Special Education) as both an Associate and an Advisor, facilitating in-school teacher support and presenting seminars across a broad spectrum of topics to support teachers working with students with Additional Needs.
