Cognitive Load Theory has been described by Dylan Williams as ‘the single most important thing for teachers to know.’ This theory is based on the limited ability of the working memory. This introductory webinar suitable for primary and post-primary teachers will explore an evidence based approach to reducing cognitive load on students working memory, allowing them to learn more effectively.
Facilitators: Pauline McCormack and Shelly Nerney with a combination of 35 years teaching experience are passionate about evidence informed teaching and learning. Both teachers are from St. Mary’s CBS in Portlaoise, teaching Business, Religion and Geography.
