Chair Yoga for Teachers and SNAs 1.12.2020
Working in an educational setting can be challenging at the best of times so the importance of taking time to look after your own wellbeing, especially in the current climate is essential. Chair yoga is beneficial in helping manage stress levels as it offers the same benefits as floor yoga.
Bring some calm and quiet into your evening and activate your relaxation response. Stretch gently while you reconnect to yourself, through mindful movement, using your breath to relax the body, mind and spirit.
You are invited to pull up a chair and join in this relaxing, accessible yoga practice to enable you to enhance your own wellbeing and self-care. Suitable for all fitness levels and for those who are unable to access floor yoga. Guided mediation included in the session too.
A sturdy chair with no sides is preferable and comfortable clothes. Bring a warm blanket or cosy top for the meditation. Notebook or journal and pen optional.
Paula is a qualified Primary Teacher. She has been involved with Education Centres as a facilitator since 2012. Most recently, Paula has been awarded Certificates in Meditation teaching, Chair Yoga and Human Holistic Development by the IMTTA.
