Stocking your School Library and Promoting Reading for Pleasure 7.10.24
This webinar is most suited to post-primary teachers, however primary teachers interested in setting up a school library are welcome to attend as many tips and suggestions also apply to primary. SNAs are welcome to attend with their class teacher.
In this webinar, you will learn more about stocking your school library with a diverse collection and promoting reading for pleasure through events. You will also get tips on how we run our Instagram page for the library and setting up a book club among others. This is a follow-up to the webinar “Establishing your school library: Practical tips to get started” but can also be attended as a standalone.
It will also support all non-fee paying schools in spending the department's library book grant received by schools in 2022.
Facilitator: Claire Tierney, Native French post-primary teacher with a keen interest in literacy and promoting reading for pleasure. 5 years’ experience in developing and managing a thriving school library both in person and online (on Instagram @StLeosCollegeLibrary).
