Setting SMART targets in the Student Support File (P/PP Teachers only) 11.11.2024
A practical course to look at how we can make Student Support Plans as practical and user friendly as possible with targets that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timed. We will examine why the targets need to be specific and what sort of background work we put in to gather the information in order to make them more specific.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will be enabled to:
- Identify what SMART targets are and why they are important when planning for students with SEN
- Examine how to set a SMART target for a student using specific needs
- Identify ways to carry this target through into short term planning for the student with SEN
