The next meeting of Laois Education Centre Post Primary SENCO Forum will take place on Monday April 17^th from 2.30-4.30pm in the Education Centre. At our last SENCO Forum meeting in December, the group identified student support planning as a priority for our next meeting.

Josephine and Johanna will facilitate a face-to-face workshop which will explore collaborative practice in the student support planning process. Despite the value of student support planning, research exposes the challenges SETs and SENCOs face in developing collaborative, shared plans for students in post primary schools. The workshop aims to:

• Explore the importance of collaborative approaches to student support planning;
• Present SENCOs with examples of collaborative approaches to student support planning in keeping with models of good practice and policy expectations;
• Share templates and plans, including group plans, one-page plans, and class plans;
• Provide an opportunity for SENCOs to share examples of good practice relating to Student Support Plans in their own schools.
