LC English:The Unseen and Studied Poetry Section 19.4.2023

This webinar, primarily suited to Higher Level Leaving Cert Teachers of English (Ordinary Level welcome to attend) will examine the following:

Learning Outcome

•      Teachers will be able to bring students from understanding and remembering their texts to analysing, applying and evaluating that knowledge to creating their own, original response to the tasks set.

Facilitator:     Deirdre Carroll enjoys teaching English in Portlaoise CBS and has 25 years’ experience. She has taught and learned from students’ consistently helping them achieve results beyond national average.  She has 20 years’ experience with the SEC. She has been developing and delivering CPD to English teachers for five years.  Currently she is an Associate with the PDST assisting in the roll out of the new English and Communications course.
