Digital Citizenship is more than online safety. It is a way to help young people learn how to safely and responsibly navigate the online environment. It encompasses skills including, media literacy, creativity, wellbeing online, communication, inclusion, rights and responsibilities and others.
Drawing on lesson resources from Webwise (HTML Heroes, MySelfie and the Wider World) and the Council of Europe (All aboard for Digitown), as well as new videos showcasing teachers’ experiences of teaching digital citizenship, this online course will help you to both understand digital citizenship and show you how to teach and model digital citizenship in your classroom and your school.
