Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshop 25.2.2019
This four-hour interactive workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and understanding necessary to nurture and enhance mental health and wellbeing, explore and challenge perceptions that surround mental health and practical tips to enhance and improve mental health.
Aim
• To equip participants with the knowledge and attitudes necessary to understand, foster and enhance mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Objectives
• Explore with participants their attitude and understanding of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace
• How to have a conversation about mental health in the workplace
• Foster and enhance practical supports to maintain mental health and wellbeing in the workplace

Key Learning Outcomes
Mental Health is an umbrella term that covers all aspects of wellbeing and that everyone has mental health.
Positive mental health supports resilience particularly when dealing with unexpected life events. Participants can through interactive group work learn about what influences and impacts on mental health both positively and negatively. Participants are supported to identify ways to improve and sustain mental health so as to enhance personal and professional life. Participants through application of the Five Ways to Wellbeing (an evidenced based strategy) will have a strategy to manage and promote mental health at an individual and organisational level.
