Are you a SENCO in a post primary school in the region? Would you like to join a group of fellow SENCOs for collegial support, networking opportunities, collaborative professional learning and resource sharing?
The SENCO role in the Irish context is in a constant state of flux. It is a critical role in schools, but lack of recognition of the role at policy level, and its strategic importance to schools, has created challenges for SENCOs and schools.
This initial online session aims to bring together a network of SENCOs and SETs teaching in Post Primary schools in Laois and the surrounding catchment areas to offer collegiality, support, and sustainable professional learning opportunities. Johanna and Josephine will facilitate the establishment of the network and will support its development. The practical implementation of the network will be decided by its members who will have collective ownership of the Forum. If you are interested in finding out more, please join us for an interactive presentation and discussion to identify how we can develop the Forum, how we support you in your role, and how you may support others.
