Signs and Symptoms of Different Special Educational Needs 29.8.2022

A practical course for examining the key features of different Special Educational Needs and how you can recognise them in the students you work with. We will look at various needs including Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, General Learning Disabilities and ADHD from a primary and post primary perspective.  

Participants will be enabled to:

• Gain an understanding of the features of different Special Educational Needs and what teachers may see in a classroom when teaching a student who presents with any of the needs
• Examine features that are not immediately obvious e.g. lack of confidence etc
• Gain an understanding of types of differentiation that may help the students access the curriculum and complete the activities of daily living easier
